ORIAT DONO: radio on your phone and in your car

Built around everyday listening

A radio app serves several listening situations. Someone starts a broadcast on their phone, then moves to another task. In the car, they need access through CarPlay. A programme schedule lets listeners see what is planned, while push notifications give the station another way to reach its audience.

These situations define the product: audio playback, programme information and notifications come together in one mobile app. This case presents its interface and links to the published apps in both stores.

What I developed

My contribution covered the complete backend and the iOS and Android applications. I developed all three from scratch on my own. The project brought responsibility for the server side and the mobile product on both platforms into one scope of work.

• Live radio: start listening to the broadcast in the app.
• Background audio: keep listening while moving to other tasks on the phone.
• CarPlay: access the radio in a compatible vehicle.
• Programme schedule and push notifications: broadcast information and messages from the station.
