Someone discovers your product in a Reel or post, opens its page and takes the next step: finding a property, saving an offer, listening or sending an enquiry. We design that journey across content, website and app so the experience follows through on the message.

A shared backend and APIs can give your website and apps consistent catalogues, accounts, content and enquiries. Deliverables can include data structures, APIs, screens, content controls and tests of the connected journey, making updates easier to manage.

When an app makes sense

A mobile product makes sense when people return regularly: listening to broadcasts, finding properties, saving favourites or receiving useful notifications. We first define that main action and the user journey around it.

If the task is introducing your business and collecting enquiries, we can discuss whether a responsive website is sufficient. The platform should fit the use case and available budget.

What we need before an estimate

A clear description of the problem is more useful than a long screen list. Prepare answers to a few questions.

• Who will use the app, and what must they accomplish?
• Do you need both platforms immediately or one first?
• Do you already have a backend, API, design and content?
• Which features are essential for launch, and which can wait?

What development can include

Interfaces, sign-in, accounts, search, maps, favourites, notifications, media and integrations can be included in the agreed specification. I use Swift and SwiftUI for iOS, Kotlin for Android, and work with Firebase and custom backend logic where needed.

We also define administration features, data migration, access requirements, testable scenarios and store submission preparation. Store review times depend on each platform’s rules and review process.

Relevant work to explore

For ORIAT, I independently built the backend and both mobile apps from scratch. Features include radio streaming, background playback, CarPlay, programme schedules and push notifications.

For MIAN, I also independently built the backend and both mobile apps. The product includes AI property search by voice and text, maps, listings, favourites and accounts. These projects demonstrate experience with connected mobile services.

How the project starts

The first paid stage is a technical specification. We then agree the scope, timing and price; development starts after prepayment. Scope changes are discussed separately, and support after delivery is agreed separately too.
